How does the BRITA LARQ filter work?
The BRITA LARQ Filter contains activated carbon – a combination of carbon fibres and granular carbon – designed to effectively reduce PFAS*, micro-particles, chlorine and trace substances such as certain herbicides, pesticides and pharmaceuticals.** ***
* PFAS such as PFOS/PFOA (so-called “forever chemicals”). Tested according to NSF/ANSI 53.

How does BRITA LARQ iQ hydration tracking work?
The LARQ iQ Cap contains a sensor for hydration tracking. After filling the bottle and screwing the cap on, place the bottle on a flat surface. The iQ Cap lights up white once a measurement has been taken (this may take up to five seconds). Hydration tracking works best with cold or room-temperature water. Please, do not use with hot water.
What does the colour of the Lambda button on the lid mean?
The bottle’s light signals indicate its current status: White for hydration tracking and drink reminders, green for battery status, and blue for the PureVis UV-C mode.
PureVis modes:
- Normal mode – Pulsing blue light
- Boost mode – Flashing blue light
Hydration-Tracking and drink reminder:
- Hydration calibration – Pulsing white light
- Drink reminder – Flashing white light
Battery:
- Low battery – Flashing green light appears before a mode starts
- Charging – Pulsing green light
- Fully charged – Solid green light
Safety and troubleshooting:
- Safety mode (light sensor) – Solid orange light when the PureVis UV-C LED is activated outside the bottle
- Safety mode (temperature) – Pulsing orange or purple light if the bottle overheats

Has the BRITA LARQ iQ bottle been tested?
Yes. The PureVis UV-C technology and the BRITA LARQ filter have been tested by independent laboratories in accordance with NSF standards.
Can I use the BRITA LARQ iQ bottle without a filter?
Yes. You can use the BRITA LARQ iQ bottle without a filter if you prefer not to drink through the straw. Alternatively, you can simply remove the filter from the filter module and continue using the straw.
What is PureVis UV-C technology?
UV-C is a form of ultraviolet light with a shorter wavelength and higher energy than UVA and UVB. It is known for its germicidal properties and can kill or inactivate microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses by damaging their DNA or RNA.The PureVis UV-C LED in the BRITA LARQ iQ bottle eliminates 99.99% of bacteria in the water. It has been tested and certified by the German Water Research Institute (IWW).
